Under the initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a rescue air ambulance has successfully completed its first patient transfer in Pakistan.

The patient, Halima Bibi, a 40-year-old woman from Mianwali, had suffered paralysis after a fall from a roof two days prior. Initially treated at Mianwali’s District Headquarters Hospital, she was referred by surgeons to Rawalpindi for further treatment.

Responding to CM Maryam Nawaz’s directive, Halima Bibi was swiftly transferred from Mianwali to Rawalpindi within the critical “golden hour” by air ambulance.

Halima Bibi’s family expressed their deep gratitude to Maryam Nawaz, describing her as an “angel” for making the transfer possible. The Punjab Chief Minister reiterated her commitment to ensuring that every citizen receives quality and timely medical treatment as a fundamental right.
