The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has officially lifted the ban on recruitment within its departments following the approval of a summary by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
After securing a significant majority in the February 8 general elections, newly elected Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur imposed a ban on all types of recruitment on March 2, except for those cases already under process with the Provincial Public Services Commission.
Gandapur had also launched an investigation into the recruitments that occurred during the caretaker government’s tenure. Shortly after assuming office, he requested a detailed report on all recruitments made between March 1, 2023, and February 29, 2024.
According to a notification issued on Thursday, the Chief Minister has instructed the relevant authorities to lift the recruitment ban across the province.
A letter regarding this directive has been sent to the Chief Secretary from the Chief Minister’s secretariat.
