Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta and its surrounding areas on Wednesday.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 29 kilometers.
The epicenter was located 65 kilometers northwest of Quetta. The tremors, which occurred at approximately 10:15 AM, caused brief alarm among residents, prompting many to vacate buildings and gather in open spaces as a precaution.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage so far. Local authorities have urged citizens to remain calm but vigilant and to follow standard safety protocols in case of aftershocks.
Despite the intensity of the earthquake, no casualties or property damage have been reported from any part of the capital or its neighboring regions. In the aftermath, residents came out of their homes in panic and began reciting verses from the Holy Quran. However, there were no reports of loss of life or property from any part of the capital due to the earthquake.
