In an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of Pakistani students stranded in Kyrgyzstan, 205 students have arrived in Karachi via Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-6260.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah personally welcomed the students at Karachi airport. He emphasized the Sindh government’s continuous communication in coordinating the students’ return. “The travel from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan was arranged by the provincial government,” he stated, expressing gratitude for the successful and safe return of the students, including 55 girls and 150 boys.
Among the 205 returning students, 99 are from Karachi, while the others hail from various districts across Sindh. The students acknowledged the swift action taken to bring them home, attributing the success to the immediate orders issued by the Chief Minister.
Despite the successful return of these students, Shah noted that 180 more students, including six who were injured, remain in Kyrgyzstan. Efforts are underway to arrange a special flight for their return. “I am trying to send a special flight for them,” he said.
