Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan Henrik Persson met with Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Monday to discuss matters of mutual interest and collaboration in the IT and telecommunication fields between the two countries.
During the meeting, Minister Khawaja highlighted the government’s strong focus on the IT and telecommunication sector, considering it a top priority for development. She mentioned the significant growth in Pakistan’s IT exports and expressed the country’s desire to increase exports to Sweden while fostering business-to-business relations.
Encouraging Swedish tech companies to invest in Pakistan, Minister Khawaja emphasized the conducive environment for foreign investment in the country, backed by strong support and facilitation for the private sector as per the prime minister’s vision.
Ambassador Persson acknowledged Pakistan’s IT sector’s potential and expressed Sweden’s keen interest in strengthening cooperation in IT and telecommunications with Pakistan.
