Rain Forecast for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Several Regions Across Pakistan

Rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms is expected to sweep through Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan starting Friday evening and continuing into Saturday and Sunday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast indicating the influence of a shallow westerly wave, likely to impact the upper and western regions of the country from Friday evening onwards.

This weather pattern is anticipated to bring partly cloudy conditions along with rain, wind, and thunderstorms to the twin cities and isolated areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeastern Balochistan, south/central Punjab, the Pothohar region, and Kashmir during Friday evening/night and throughout the weekend.

Maximum temperatures in Islamabad are expected to range between 36-38 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday, while Rawalpindi may experience temperatures ranging from 37-39°C on Saturday and 38-40°C on Sunday.

In the preceding 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in the twin cities and most parts of the country. Dadu and Jacobabad registered as the hottest locations nationwide, with maximum temperatures reaching 48°C.

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature recorded was 40°C, with a morning relative humidity of 53 percent. Similarly, Rawalpindi saw a maximum temperature of 38°C, with a morning relative humidity of 38 percent.
