In a candid interview with actor Imran Ashraf on his talk show, Mazaaq Raat, Pakistani heartthrob Humayun Saeed opened up about the intimate details of his first heartbreak, offering a glimpse into the rollercoaster ride of his early romantic escapades.
Known for his stellar performances in some of Pakistan’s biggest films and, more recently, as Dr. Hasnat Khan in Netflix’s The Crown, the London Nahi Jaunga star shared insights into his first love, a relationship etched in the memories of his youth.
Recalling the beginnings of his romantic journey, the renowned actor revealed,
I would teach her how to drive, and she would often run my car into something. Her parents really liked me. They’d say, ‘Ae munda changa lagda ae’ (he’s a nice lad); it was that kind of scene.
Curiosity piqued, Imran Ashraf inquired further, “And then, what happened?” to which Humayun responded with a touch of poetic reflection, “I think it happens, she probably wanted someone else in her life at the time, someone better than me.”
As Imran pressed on, asking if he cried, the charismatic actor admitted, “Oh, a lot…I was young. When she told me she is someone else’s now, I cried a lot with my friend, and he cried with me.”
The actor went on to emphasize the emotional intensity of youthful relationships, stating, “When you’re young, that’s how it is. Your friends are also just as emotionally invested in your relationships as you are. But when you grow up and go to your friend to cry, they just tell you to shut up because they told you so!” Humayun chuckled, reflecting on the evolution of emotional support.
Addressing the duration of the relationship, Saeed shared, “Not too long, it lasted a year.” Check out the full interview here:
