Saad Baig will continue to lead the Pakistan U19 cricket team in the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023, scheduled to take place in Dubai from December 8 to 17.
The junior selection committee, under the guidance of Sohail Tanvir, has officially announced the 15-member squad for the eight-team tournament.
Having captained the Pakistan U19 team during the home series against Sri Lanka and the tour to Bangladesh earlier this year, Saad Baig will maintain his leadership role in the upcoming tournament.
The squad was selected after a rigorous training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi, which commenced on November 24.
Pakistan U19 finds itself placed in Group A, alongside Afghanistan U19, India U19, and Nepal U19. The team is set to kick off its tournament journey against Nepal on December 8, followed by matches against India and Afghanistan on December 10 and 12, respectively.
The selected 15-member squad is scheduled to depart for Dubai on December 6, ready for a challenging and competitive series. Alongside Saad Baig, the squad includes Ahmad Hussain, Ali Asfand, Amir Hassan, Arafat Minhas (vice-captain), Azan Awais, Khubaib Khalil, Najab Khan, Naveed Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Riazullah, Mohammad Tayyab Arif, Mohammad Zeeshan, Shahzaib Khan, Shamyl Hussain, and Ubaid Shah.

The team will be supported by experienced support staff, including Team Manager Shoaib Muhammad, Head Coach Muhammad Yousaf, Bowling Coach Rehan Riaz, Fielding Coach Mansoor Amjad, Assistant Batting Coach Muhammad Masroor, Assistant Coach Umer Rashid Dar, Team Physio Hafiz Naeem Ul Rasul, Team Analyst Usman Hashmi, Trainer Imran Ullah, and Media and Digital Manager Muhammad Arslan.
