The dengue outbreak in Punjab shows no signs of ending, as the province deals with an additional 169 reported cases of the disease. The total number of individuals affected by dengue in Punjab has now increased to a concerning 9,862.
In the last 24 hours, Lahore, the provincial capital, recorded a varying 90 new dengue cases, highlighting the alarming rate at which the disease is spreading. Gujranwala, another significant city in Punjab, reported 26 new cases, further underscoring the rapid spread of the virus.
Other cities across the province have not been spared, as Multan reported 17 new cases, Rawalpindi documented 16 cases, and Faisalabad registered 9 new cases, all adding to the growing record of dengue infections.
The Punjab Health Department remains actively engaged in providing medical care to 148 dengue patients who are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals throughout the province.
