The Pakistan Army has successfully rescued six foreign mountaineers who were attempting to summit K2, the world’s second-highest peak.
The climbers, hailing from the US, Chile, Macedonia, and Nepal, suffered from high-altitude sickness at their base camp during the expedition.
Upon receiving a distress call, the Pakistan Army promptly initiated a rescue operation. The mountaineers expressed their gratitude to the Pakistan Army for the timely and efficient rescue.
Earlier this month, Pakistan Army commandos also rescued climbers from Holland, Singapore, and Ecuador, who fell ill due to severe weather conditions while attempting to summit K2.
These climbers also faced health issues during their expedition, necessitating an urgent rescue mission.
The mountaineers have consistently praised the Pakistan Army’s quick response and crucial medical help, which ensured their safe evacuation from the hazardous environment. They emphasized that the prompt actions of the Pakistan Army personnel were instrumental in saving their lives.
