In the next two months, approximately four million trees will be planted in the Federal Capital as part of a new initiative. The primary objective of this campaign is to protect and enhance the wildlife and vegetation in the Margalla Hills.

This effort aims to relieve the damage caused by recent wildfires due to the heat wave affecting the Margalla Hills.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to implement digital monitoring of the saplings planted during the campaign.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of planting fruit-bearing and flowering plants, rather than ornamental trees, to make Islamabad greener and more vibrant.
