Gold prices in Pakistan experienced their third consecutive increase this week, approaching the Rs. 250,000 per tola mark as of Friday.
Data from the Karachi Sarafa Association indicated that the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 2,200 per tola, reaching Rs. 249,000.
Moreover, the price for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 1,886, now standing at Rs. 213,477.
The Sarafa Association noted that despite this rise, the gold price remains undervalued by Rs. 2,800, an increase of Rs. 300 from the previous day’s discount, due to the reduced purchasing power of consumers.
After initial declines at the beginning of the week, gold prices rebounded with gains of Rs. 600 per tola on Wednesday and Rs. 1,200 per tola on Thursday.
The cumulative increase over the past three days totals Rs. 4,000 per tola.
