Rain Expected in Southeast Karachi, Sindh

Scattered rains and gusty winds are forecasted for parts of Sindh on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper parts of Pakistan and are expected to strengthen from Wednesday. Additionally, a trough of a shallow westerly wave is likely to approach the upper regions of the country on Wednesday.

Under these conditions, rain, wind, and thunderstorms are predicted in Mithi, Badin, Umarkot, Tharparkar, and Mirpur Khas on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Partly cloudy weather is expected in Karachi and other coastal areas, while muggy weather is anticipated elsewhere in the province.

In Karachi, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 35-37°C on Wednesday and Thursday. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature is likely to range between 39-41°C on these days.

Over the last 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most districts of Sindh. Dadu recorded the highest temperature in the province at 45°C, followed by Mohenjo-Daro at 44°C and Nawab Shah at 43°C. In Karachi, the maximum temperature reached 36°C, with evening relative humidity recorded at 65%. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was 38°C, with evening relative humidity at 53%.
