The UAE has significantly reduced the processing time for acquiring work permits and residency visas from 30 days to just five days as part of the second phase of the Work Bundle platform.
This new initiative is designed to facilitate the hiring of new employees for business owners and private companies, as well as the pre-renewal of work permits for current employees.
According to the Khaleej Times, the second phase of the Work Bundle will benefit approximately 600,000 companies and more than seven million workers.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that the third phase will include domestic workers.
Currently, companies and employees can access the Work Bundle on the website (working.ae), with a mobile app set to be launched soon.
