Redmi’s K series is about to release its new generation, and the specifications of one of its members, the Redmi K80 Pro, were recently leaked. It is said to come equipped with a 5,500 mAh battery that can support 120W rapid wired charging, a 2K resolution screen, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
According to rumors, the Redmi K80 Pro will have a 3x telephoto camera—an improvement over the 2x on the K70 Pro—and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. According to a March report, the OnePlus 13 and the Xiaomi 15 series may also have ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, which are typically quicker and more dependable than optical ones.
According to a Weibo tipster, the Redmi K80 Pro will be “like a flagship,” which could have an impact on the device’s cost.
Since Xiaomi doesn’t seem to have a set schedule for its Redmi K line of phones, it’s also difficult to anticipate when the announcement will occur. However, if we had to guess, we’d say it would probably happen by the end of this year or at the beginning of 2025.
