At least 28 people, including women and children, were killed and 20 others injured when a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine in District Washuk on Wednesday.
The injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to Assistant Commissioner (AC) Basima Ismail Mengal, 20 individuals, including women and children, sustained injuries in the accident. The injured and the deceased were taken to Civil Hospital Basima following the crash.
Levies officials reported that the bus was carrying 48 people, including the driver and two conductors.
After receiving initial medical aid, the injured will be transferred to Quetta for further treatment. The bodies are being held at Civil Hospital Basima for identification.
AC Basima Ismail Mengal stated that the passenger bus, traveling from Turbat to Quetta, met with an accident due to high speed.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives in the tragic accident.
Mohsin Naqvi conveyed his profound sadness and shock over the loss of lives and extended his condolences to the families of the deceased. He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
