Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on a day-long visit to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday. This marks his first trip to the UAE since assuming office.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will have a one-on-one meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The discussions will focus on further strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
In addition to meeting the UAE President, the Prime Minister will engage with Pakistani and UAE businessmen and investors, particularly those in the Information Technology sector. He is also scheduled to meet with top government officials and prominent businessmen of the UAE.
This visit signifies the start of a new chapter in the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The Prime Minister’s interactions with the top Emirati leadership and business community underscore the government’s diplomatic achievements and the increasing interest of friendly countries in investing in Pakistan.
Accompanying the Prime Minister are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
