Mohammed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar and Noon, revealed ambitious plans for the Dubai Creek Tower, often referred to as the “female” version of the iconic Burj Khalifa.
Alabbar disclosed that the Dubai Creek Tower will be a focal point of an extensive mall situated in Dubai Creek Harbour, offering a unique concept where customers can drive electric cars through the mall – a pioneering and unique idea in the world of architecture and retail.
Speaking at the SEF session titled “Towering Success: What It Takes to Build a Business Empire,” Alabbar shared valuable insights into the company’s strategic decisions and setbacks. He explained the shift away from plans for a one-kilometer-tall tower, opting instead for projects like the Dubai Creek Tower. Alabbar emphasized that while maintaining allure for investors, this project represents a departure with a distinct approach.
Acknowledging the challenges of running a publicly listed company, Alabbar underscored the importance of transparency and accountability, which is thoroughly maintained every 90 days. Despite the hurdles, he expressed gratitude for the discipline enforced by this approach, attributing it to personal and professional growth.
The Dubai Creek Harbour project, spanning six million square meters, aims to transform into a new urban hub in Dubai, with the Dubai Creek Tower standing as its pièce de résistance.
Alabbar excitingly hinted that the tower’s design would soon be unveiled, marking yet another milestone in Dubai’s ever-evolving architectural landscape. As anticipation builds, the Dubai Creek Tower promises not only to be a symbol of architectural marvel but also a testament to innovation and forward-thinking in the heart of the city.
