Karachi – A case has been filed against Ashfaque Ishaq Satti, a TV host from a private news channel, over allegations of assaulting his wife, Nomaika Ashfaque Satti.
The complaint was put up by his third wife at the North Nazimabad police station in Karachi, following her public disclosure of domestic violence on social media.
The morning show host on ARY TV has been booked under sections 337-A, 506, and 324 based on the complaint. Nomaika, in a Facebook post, revealed that she suffered multiple injuries in an assault by her husband, sharing photos displaying scars on her face and arm.
Detailing her ordeal, Nomaika stated, “I’ve been beaten almost to death by my husband Ashfaque Ishaque Satti, who picked me up from my mother’s house and later assaulted me like an animal.”
She further claimed that the police initially resisted registering the case due to her husband’s continuous pressure and influence in the media. Although the FIR has been filed, no action has been taken against Ashfaque Ishaq Satti.
Nomaika appealed to the public for support in her quest for justice, stating, “Nobody deserves to bear such brutality. Kindly reach out to me. I need your support and your help.” Social media has erupted in condemnation of Satti’s alleged actions.
