Meteorological Department Forecasts Dense Fog in the Upcoming Days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory, forecasting stable weather conditions leading to cold and dry weather in most parts of the country.

The Met Department further predicts very cold weather in the plains of Punjab persisting throughout the next week.

In addition to the cold temperatures, dense fog is expected to prevail in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh in patches. Frost is estimated in the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, including Islamabad and Kashmir.

According to the meteorological forecasts, light rain, accompanied by light snowfall over the mountains, is expected in Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan on the 13th, 16th, and 17th of January.

Farmers are urged to manage their crops and ensure the well-being of their livestock in warm places, given the prevailing cold weather conditions.

Travelers are advised to exercise extra caution during foggy days, ensuring safe and careful navigation on the roads.

Moreover, the Met Department has scattered rumors circulating on social media regarding snowfall in the plains of Punjab, believing them baseless. The public is urged to ignore fake news and rely on official meteorological updates for accurate information.
